The week long Festival of Trees ushers in the holiday season with volunteer-run community events to raise funds for local food charities and provide free family and cultural entertainment. Despite continuing the Delta surge, Gov. Phil Scott said last week that the data shows the vaccines significantly reduce cases among the vaccinated. Only three-tenths of a percent of vaccinated Vermonters have been hospitalized. Vermont reported 1,238 new COVID-19 cases last week. Franklin County reported 239 cases in the 14 days ending Sunday.
