Artbits – October 3, 2013

With studios open around the state plus four big shows locally, this very Fall-like weekend is perfect for art hopping.

OPEN STUDIO WEEKEND

Open Studio Weekend, the statewide celebration of creativity and the visual arts, gives visitors an inside look at Vermont artists and craftspeople actually working in their studios. Some 300 exhibitors are open this year, all right next to the yellow signs dotting the Vermont landscape. At least seven are right here in and near Franklin County. Read more

MORE ART ON THE WALLS

The unveiling gala for the 150th Raid Commemorative Calendar includes a reception with the artists, music, and more. The one-day only Art4Show has original, new works. The Artist In Residence Gallery features Jan Brosky, Maggy Young, Barry Genzlinger, and Maureen Genzlinger. The NMC Gallery hosts 12 paintings by watercolor artists by Kathleen Berry Bergeron class.
