Artbits–August 7, 2014
The Big Music Weeks of Summer continue with Towne Meeting, Nobby Reed Project, Justice, Chameleon, No Left Turn, Nightrain, Smokin’ Gun, Bad Horsey, Troy Millette and Bethany Conner, A&M live, and the Missisquoi River Band. There are stories and songs of the Civil War plus writer Julia Scott, artists Tara Goreau and Rachel Whitebear. Turbo, the Princess Bride, Kung Fu Panda, and Shrek play free in local parks. CreativeGround replaces the current Vermont Arts Directory. Pirates of Penzance holds auditions. Find works of flowers, gardens, animals, and Vermont scenery on the wall. Twiggs Comedy For A Cause supports BFA Boys Lacrosse. There is an open mic night. The Nobby Reed Project plays Tupelo. Justice opens for Saving Abel. Rotary Home Expo is free! Around the state there are three new spring exhibits, Ice Storm photos, and forty-two artists. Olive Ridley’s has a Pre-St. Patrick’s Day Party of Justice for all.
