We have a call for the Spring Youth Art Show. KidZArt 2017 celebrates. SACA meets and SAC could raise some money. BBP, Giovanina Bucci, Sean Casey, and Jamie Lee Thurston perform. There is dinner music and candlelight, a Show The Love Gala, a talk on the Western Abenaki, and the second Friday Dance. Libraries have books, movies, tech help, and more. Continue reading

Will the arts be represented? Swanton wants to know. Artists Barbara Colgrove, Ann Levy, Patrick Murphy, Eric Smith, and Sally Tarr have shows. The Swanton Arts Council has two get-togethers. There is an evening of bird tales, a dance and story telling. The Nobby Reed Project twice, Chris & Erica, Jeff Shelley, Carol Ann Jones, and Molsky’s Mountain Drifters all appear on stage. I’ll be “off the grid” for my road trip for a few more weeks. ArtBits will continue. The Concert for Grumpy Grownups series brought the VYO Winter Concert to the MVU stage. The Artist In has a reception, the Milton Artists Guild has a Holiday Artfest, and River Arts holds Viva Las Artes. A Writer’s Group meets. The Nobby Reed Project, Pierre Chartrand, Alexis Chartrand and Nicolas Babineau, Carol Ann Jones and her Trio, Roy Hurd. Giovanina Bucci, Arthur James, the Will Patton Quartet and Carol and Will together all take the stage. Nanowrimo calls writers. Continue reading

The 2016 Fall Open Studio is here. St. Albans Community Arts hosts the first SACA Arts Mixer. The Vermont Youth Orchestra, the Bob Mackenzie Blues Trio, John Smyth, Justice , Pete’s Posse, a Young Tradition Showcase, the Nobby Reed Project, and Comedy For A Cause all find stages.
