BAY DAY

The 43rd Bay Day Festival kicks off a day with lots more than fireworks in St. Albans Town Bay Park. The legendary Great Race, afternoon activities, games, food, and the live music of Rushmore and Soulshine Revival capped by the fireworks at dusk. Read more

ART ON THE WALLS

There is a day of plein air painting with Cynthia Rosen, George Van Hook, Liane Whittum, Mary Anne Heinzen, and Fiona Cooper Fenwick in downtown Stowe with a wet paint sale. The Artist In Residence features Jennifer Buckner, Terry Buehner, Tess Follensbee, and Wayne Tarr with a live reception on a special night. Bryan Memorial Gallery has Jane Neroni’s The Bridge at Shelburne Boat Ramp. The Vermont Abenaki Artists Association features Wampum Woman Linda Longtoe Sheehan. Read more

St. Albans Community Arts has Creative Connections, Explore the Story Wilds, the Blackout Poetry series. and the Open Studio Music Group, all this week. The Milton Artists’ Guild has Social Sunday and a workshop to Learn Zentangle with Julia Davenport. The River Arts Mindful Art Series offers Summer Blooms, Mixed Media Painting with Jen Volansky. The Swanton Free Public Library hosts “Lights Camera Impact” cinematography workshop with J.R. Cox. Read more
