SOUNDS OF SUMMER

The 32nd year of Summer Sounds concerts at home in Highgate concludes with Sean Jarvis singing songs and playing guitar live on the Highgate Arena lawn. Read more

ART ON THE WALLS

A Chair Affair Celebration Party has live music and desserts and a silent auction in City Hall to benefit Historic Church Street. The custom-painted Adirondack chairs have spent the summer in front of downtown businesses. Read more

The Milton Artists’ Guild offers Paint Your Own Pet with artist Laurie Thompson. No furry friends will be coated. Read more

Auditions are now open for the 2023-2024 Young Tradition Touring Group season. Montgomery Center for the Arts hosts the People’s Art Show, a free, uncensored, exhibit to celebrate all forms of creativity, diversity, and imagination. Read more

DANCE

Island Arts continues community dancing to lively music in Easy Folk Dancing for All Ages with dances from Armenia, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Israel, Serbia, Turkey and more with instructor Leslie Alpert. Read more

HUMANITIES

Island Arts continues the three part series on the Art of Conscious Communications with Kim and Bob Muncil. The Saint Albans Museum presents Marty Podskoch with a History of the Vermont Civilian Conservation Corps Camps in the Bliss Room or on Zoom. Cold Hollow Sculpture Park welcomes Aaron York for Perspectives 2023: Amazing Makers and a conversation on Wabenaki arts and culture. Read more

WORKSHOPS & CLASSES

The Milton Artists’ Guild offers two free workshops. Artist, writer, TED Speaker (and MAG Executive Director) Corrina Thurston leads Confidence as an Artist. Social Sundays continue with free weekly art classes for families. Island Arts hosts a Handcrafted Greeting Card Workshop with Pat Brennan. Read more
