FIELDS OF SUMMER

Vermont’s finest country fair takes to the fields of Highgate for the 47th Franklin County Field Days. Come for the lineup of the best music, arts and crafts, and weeds of summer. Neon Spoon and Friction, Bad Horsey, the Old Man Garage Band, Chris & Erica, Julia Parent, the Missisquoi River Band, the Darcy Cahill Band, and Johnnie Bubar all fill the stage live. Read more

The Artist In Residence Gallery features Lindsay DiDio, Barbara Flack, Meta Strick, and El Towle with a live reception at the gallery. Atlas Obscura declared Cold Hollow Sculpture Park one of the 10 Unexpected Delights of Vermont’s Arts and Culture Scene. A Retrospective Looking Forward–the Art of Aida Whedon fills the MCA. The Nebizun: Water is Life Abenaki Teach-In will be at the Mt.┬áKearsage Indian Museum. The Historical American Women FUNdraiser celebrates the accomplishments of pioneering women in American history–Sally Ride, Wilma Mankiller, Anna May Wong, Bessie Coleman, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Maria Tallchief–with impressionist Terry Buehner. Becky Rupp will discuss Soup to Nuts: An Eccentric History of Food. The Abenaki Word of the Week is translated. Read more
