The Vermont Maple Festival is the annual celebration of maple syrup, the state’s first agricultural crop of the year. The Top-10, three-day, virtual event begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Read more

All Vermonters 16-and-over can now get vaccinated. The Vermont Forward plan rolls back most pandemic-related restrictions entirely by July 4 as long as Vermonters follow the five basic tenets of “universal guidance.” A number of our artists and venues are offering live music while others are booking for the summer. The Vermont International Performance Salon opens with a Sunday Soiree and filmed performance pieces by artists from the United States, Canada, and beyond. VIPs will host a Zoom gathering of the artists. Read more

Montgomery Center for the Arts asks painter Patrick Murphy to lead Take Me to the River: Exploring the Trout River Through the Arts, a live, in-person plein air painting workshop. Let’s play in the mud as Swanton Arts Council Concrete presents Hand Planters, another free art project. The MAG Virtual Social Sunday Program has free art kits and online instruction. Read more

The Young Tradition Vermont Touring Group launched its virtual world tour with social visits, shared music, and master classes, starting in Sweden at 9 a.m. and finishing on early this evening in Quebec City, Joliette, and Montreal simultaneously. Read more
