THE JIG AIN’T UP YET (BUT IT IS ON STAGE)

The twentieth annual Jig in the Valley brings an eclectic day of outdoor music in a good cause to the Fairfield Community Center. Look for great local music, fabulous food under the tent (pizza!), the giant yard sale/flea market, bingo, an iPad raffle, and activities for kids of all ages all afternoon on the Green in East Fairfield. ON STAGE LIVE

Fiddler on the Roof opens at the Opera House and Charlotte’s Web — the Musical in Fairfax. Downtown St. Albans Summer Concert Series presents Carol Ann Jones. The Christian Music Concert on the Park and annual Chicken BBQ continues with Heartsong — Singers for Christ. The Champlain Country Club tees up the Nobby Reed Project and the Fairfax Summer Concert Series lets them play through. The Bayside Pavilion has the Missisquoi River Band. Citizens Concert Band plays on the lawn at St. John Episcopal Church. Read more

The St. Albans Free Library presents comic, inspirational speaker, and mime Robert Rivest and the Writers’ Medley follows quietly. The Highgate Public Library has a Family Fun Night in the park and Fun with Mr. K! Richford Summer Camp hosts the games of Big Blue Trunk. Read more
