KICKIN’ IT AROUND

The All Arts Council presents Greg Izor and the Box Kickers in the blues, southern soul, swamp pop, and R&B Summer Sounds concert in Highgate Municipal Park on Sunday. “We’ll have a lot of Louisiana/Texas blues,” drummer Jason Corbiere said. Read more

The Artist In Residence Gallery features painters Fred Ackel, Beth McAdams, and Robert Eldridge, and potter Susan Delear with a free meet-the-artists reception with refreshments tonight. Read more

On Tap offers Blues Night with the Nobby Reed Project. The Brown Cow Summer Concert Series presents Carol Ann Jones with Gary Spaulding in concert. Venue presents the Keeghan Nolan Band. Summerfest 2011 has live music plus a bouncy house, face painting, and more. The Swanton Summer Concert Series presents the Amida Bourbon Project with special guest Lisa Fischer. Montgomery Historical Society presents the Diller-Quaile String Quartet in the Concerts by the Common series. The Fairfax Summer Concert Series presents Tammy Fletcher. Read more
