The Swanton Arts Council board meets. It’s Vermont vs. Hollywood on screen. The Nobby Reed Project, Chris & Erica, the Bob Mackenzie Blues Trio, Jamie Lee Thurston, the Johnny Cash Tribute Show, the Gibson Brothers and the Vermont Bluegrass Pioneers all have gigs. The Advance Singer/Songwriter Contest and an Open Mic take stages. There’s a public hearing on Vermont’s most pressing rural issues. And there are books. Continue reading

The NVAA first Fall show and South Shore Art Center’s annual fall benefit are on. Carol Ann Jones, Jenni Johnson and the Junketeers, the Spooky Spooktacular and TNT Comedy Showcase, Arthur James, Leadfoot Louise, Shane Cariffe with King Arthur Junior and Fertile Soil, St. Albans Maple Squares and Young Tradition all take to different stages. The Museum previews the Vietnam War. Permaculture design comes to the Chaffee. We have calls from the Monterey Peninsula College Art Gallery and On Screen/In Person. Continue reading

The Stars at NMC are sending boxes of protective gear to the Keys. The King Returns to the Flynn in a benefit to aid the fight against cancer. SAC hosts an Art Social and Pin Swap, an annual meeting, and the Writer’s Group. The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents three hilarious plays. Tim Brick, Cooper and Lavoie, Inseldudler, the Blue Rock Boys, Coon Hill John, and Carol Ann Jones hit the stages. There is a screening of Blood, Sweat, and Beer. Continue reading
