National Arts In Education Week begins. The Northwestern Medical Center Gallery hosts David J. Griggs in a solo show and the NVAA is on exhibit at the old Red Mill. SAC has a busy week planned. The Wing Walkers, Cooper & LaVoie, Rosie & Trevor, Carol Ann Jones, and Missisquoi River Band have gigs. Comedy For A Cause continues. The Big Music Weeks of Summer wrap up with Donna Thunder and the Storm, the Nobby Reed Project, Starline Rhythm Boys, Graziano, Scofield, and Slim, the Robin Gottfried Band, Smyth and Croteau, the Jeff Salisbury Band, Carol Ann Jones with Will Patton and Vermont’s Music Showcase at the Champlain Valley Fair. The Museum shows us Jeffrey Brace. The Artist In Residence features Jan Brosky, Melvin Harris, Elizabeth Martin, and Frank McDonough. The SAC needs art supplies. Most libraries will be closed on Labor Day but have programming the rest of the week. Continue reading →

Barbie-N-Bones, Jenni Johnson, Bob Young, the Smokey Newfield Project, Chris and Erica, Justice, Carol Ann Jones and Will Patton twice, the Nobby Reed Project, Rushmore, the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra, and Comedy For A Cause all take to a stage near you. Summer Sounds starts this Saturday at Bay Day! The Artist In Residence Gallery has new artists for July. Sign up for the Barn Quilt Challenge. The 40th Army Band, A&M Live, the Nobby Reed Project, the Will Patton Quartet, Arthur James, Cooie Sings, and VT Chamber Jazz take to different stages.
