Summer Sounds starts this Saturday at Bay Day! The Artist In Residence Gallery has new artists for July. Sign up for the Barn Quilt Challenge. The 40th Army Band, A&M Live, the Nobby Reed Project, the Will Patton Quartet, Arthur James, Cooie Sings, and VT Chamber Jazz take to different stages. It is still summer and time for one more Big Music Weeks of Summer! The 25th anniversary Summer Sounds Benefit Music Festival brings out the star power with Jenni Johnson and the Jazz Junketeers, Jon Gailmor, incaHOOTs, Keeghan Nolan, the Sky Blue Boys, the Summer Sounds singers, and more. This is a benefit concert to help programming at Camp Ta-Kum-Ta and to build a band shell in Highgate. Justice keeps their rock On Tap, Missisquoi River Band plays Summer Music at Grace and The Stage. Twiggs has Coon Hill John and Close to Nowhere. The Opera House wants a Check, Please! Summer Sounds is resting up for the big 25th Anniversary Festival next month but there is still plenty of music playing: No Left Turn, Carol Ann Jones with Will Patton, Woods Tea Company, the Rose Wharf Band, Missisquoi River Band, Bob Young, Vern Colburn, Elliott Johnson, the 5th annual Cambridge Music Festival, and an Open Mic night.
