The Big Music Weeks of Summer continue. The 25th Summer Sounds has the Constitution Brass. The Nobby Reed Project plays both sides of the lake. Barbie-n-Bones, Bob Young, Vern Colburn, Inca Hoots, the world famous Oleo Romeos, Donna Thunder and Chris Martin, Anna Roberts-Gevalt, Elizabeth LaPrelle, and Kaïa Kater. Justice gets naked. Carol Ann Jones hosts then plays with Will Patton. Gail Salzman is on the walls. The League of Vermont Writers hosts a retreat. And we have linkbait. Continue reading

The Big Music Weeks of Summer start with a bang today. The All Arts Council and the Town of Highgate bring the 25th Summer Sounds back home to Highgate. A&M Rocks, AnimA, Michele Choiniere, the Citizens Concert Band, Coon Hill John, Dayve Huckett, Carol Ann Jones and the Superchargers, Justice, Will Patton, the Nobby Reed Project, Sammich, Them Nakeds, and the Woods Tea Company find stages all over. The Rocky Horror Picture Show has a live cast. And in visual arts, it’s Sidewalk Chalk Day and the Northwestern Medical Center Gallery hosts Jennifer Theoret. Continue reading

The All Arts Council’s 25th Anniversary Summer Sounds concerts begin Sunday at Bay Day! Karen Scheffler tells Your Story Is Art and AIR artists Toby Fulwiler, Pamela Krout-Voss, and Jo Anne Wazny have a reception. Mango Jam, Chasing 440, the Padula/Thunder/Martin Trio, the Will Patton Ensemble, Carol Ann Jones (twice), Nobby Reed, Jerry Thigpen, Vern Colburn, Isaac and Dominic French, the CSM Band, and the Citizens Concert Band all perform at nearby venues.
