The Big Music Weeks of Summer draw to a close this week. Mr. French rocks the final Summer Sounds concert of the season. Jenni Johnson is On Tap, Carol Ann Jones in a showcase Nobby Reed in Swanton, Young Tradition in Calais and everybody will jam for Mr. O. The seventh annual Art in Bloom Festival, Undercurrents of Gail Salzman, Barbara Hamm’s watercolors, a hand painted three-part wall mural, and Miss Ellie’s Preschool Party round out the week. The Summer of Music continues with the Young Guns Tailgating Tour in the Summer Sounds concert, Peter Griggs History of Classical Guitar, and the Barnstormers Chorus, plus the Nobby Reed Project, Melodeon, and the Missisquoi River Band. The Summer of Music is officially busy with a baker’s dozen concerts in 11 venues plus a musical. Summer Sounds kicks off at Bay Day with Dark Horse playing into the fireworks. Neon Spoon plus Gary Dulabaum and Rik Barron play Bay Day afternoon. 40th Army Band, 8084, Cinderella Kids, Meg At Cosmic, the Michele Fay Band, Tedd Fish, Justice, Missisquoi River Band, the Swing Peepers, plus Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass all on stage.
