Franklin County lost a friend of the arts on Sunday when Lyle Glidden passed away at home. Art on the Refuge takes over the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge. The Emerging Artist Award and the final SAC Artist Gathering this season are imminent. Carol Ann Jones Scott DuBois and Ryan Hanson, the Smokey Newfield Project, Melting Point, and the Nobby Reed Project take the stage. Open Band Night is back. Li’l Abner needs a cast. 2015 was a busy year in the arts. The Artist In Residence Gallery has closed. The Ringtunes, Coon Hill John, Justice take to stages and the First Nights bring out lots of Franklin County performers and local favorites. The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents Silver & Gold. The Artist in Residence Cooperative Gallery may close at the end of the month, never to see 2016, unless we all make a miracle keep them open. The gallery has maybe its last free meet-the-artists reception. The Festival of Trees brings out music and art and trees. Nobby Reed Project, Close to Nowhere, Justin Panigutti, the Missisquoi River Band, the Opera House Christmas Concert, the Vermont International Festival all find stages.
