Vermont’s two day Fall Open Studio Weekend celebrates 33 years. Most Vermont artists and craftspeople work in studios in or near their homes. This statewide celebration is a chance to see the magic at work. The Artist In Residence collection spotlight is on potter Barbara Colgrove. Island Arts hosts an opening reception for October Featured Artist Alana Bigos at Community Bank. Bryan Memorial Gallery hosts a Live Painting Demo by Cynthia Rosen. The Highgate Manor’s final historical tour of the season is coming up. Vermont Humanities continues the Vermont Reads Series with a book discussion of The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton and facilitated by Peter Burns at the Bent Northrop Memorial Library. Bryan Gallery hosts Eric Tobin for a special conversation on History Unframed: Jeffersonville’s Art Legacy. The Abenaki Arts & Education Center presents Dark Academy Adventures, Episode 4: The Mystery of the Crystal Lake Longhouse. Read more
